SANAE’S
VIOLIN STUDIO

I have grown up as a student of Sanae’s myself, and I don’t think I could have achieved what I have with a different teacher. With Sanae, I have learnt not only to play the violin, but to love it as well. I always look forward to a lesson with Sanae as it is not only educational but also fun. Having worked with other teachers before, I can say that Sanae has really taught me the most, and I couldn’t think of anything she could do better. I consider myself very fortunate and lucky to have Sanae as my violin teacher!

I have been learning violin with Sanae for a few years now and I have learnt so much a long the way, I have improved, not just technically, but I also have a better understanding of my instrument and how it relates to the music I play. Sanae has played a key role in organising chamber music programmes both in and out of school. She not only tailors the groups to achieve a perfect fit for each player, but she also actively mentors each group and helps us improve with every rehearsal. Thanks to her hard work I have been able to participate in multiple groups and repertoires, making new friends along the way. I have been able to compete in (and win!) multiple competitions including, the North London Music festival, Spring Grove music festival, and Music for Youth, where I had the opportunity to play in Birmingham. Sharing music with others is such a privilege so having it be such a big part of my life is something I’m very grateful for.

<div>I would like to say that Sanae is an excellent and caring violin teacher for my children. She has a gentle manner and is very patient with her students, so naturally all of the kids respond well and make great progress. Sanae also organizes two in-house concerts a year so they all get an opportunity to play in front of an audience which, I believe, is an important experience for a musician. Having said that, Sanae does not teach for the exams or competitions. I feel that she is trying to show the enjoyment part of the music rather than pushing them to play for qualifications, which as a result makes them perform well on any occasion. My oldest son, Ryuki (12 y/o), has been her student since he was 4 years old. He has made great progress and has received many prizes at the music festivals over the years. My daughter (8 y/o) and younger son (6 y/o) are following the same path as their big brother and making excellent progress as well. We are very lucky to have her as our children’s violin teacher and I would recommend her to any parents who are looking for their child’s first music teacher.</div>

Sanae has been teaching my children for nearly ten years. She has taken them from absolute beginners through to Grade 8 and beyond. Her teaching style is relaxed and she is great at making lessons fun, while also focusing rigorously on correct technique and giving them the confidence to perform in front of audiences.

Both my children have been learning to play the violin with Sanae for a number of years. Yusif is 18 now, achieved grade 8 a year ago. Layan is 15 and achieved grade 6 so far. Sanae has been a great inspiration and role model to my kids and us all. Her great patience, friendly, relaxed approach to her teaching and her high level of commitment has been exemplary. This has led both my children to develop a well grounded love, ability and joy to learn music and to play it to an audience.
We are very lucky to have had the chance to work with Sanae.
